Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026 • Please read carefully before using our tools

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using DevToolNest ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the website.

2. Description of Service

DevToolNest provides free, client-side web utilities for software developers, programmers, and technical users, including JSON formatting, syntax validation, tree navigation, difference comparison, and URL encoding/decoding. All processing occurs locally within the user's browser.

3. Permitted and Acceptable Use

You may use DevToolNest for personal, academic, or commercial software development purposes free of charge. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service infrastructure.
  • Use automated scrapers or bots in a manner that exceeds normal human usage and degrades performance for other users.
  • Misrepresent DevToolNest or its output as an official certification or endorsement.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

The tools and services on DevToolNest are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we strive for absolute mathematical and parsing accuracy, we make no representations or warranties that the tools will be entirely error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular mission-critical application.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall DevToolNest, its contributors, or its operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of or inability to use our tools, including loss of data or business interruption.

6. Intellectual Property

The branding, design, logos, and custom source code of DevToolNest are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You retain full and exclusive ownership of all data, code snippets, and payloads you process through our tools. DevToolNest asserts no intellectual property claims, licensing rights, or derivative entitlements over any content you input or generate.

7. Privacy and Client-Side Execution Guarantee

DevToolNest is architected around a zero-knowledge, client-side operational model. All computations, syntax parsing, tree validations, and encodings occur strictly within your browser's virtual machine runtime. The Service does not maintain an input-processing backend API, does not record user payloads into access logs, and does not sell or distribute developer data to third parties.

8. Technical Standards & Interoperability

Our developer tools strive for exact conformance with standards promulgated by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), including RFC 8259 (JSON), RFC 7519 (JWT), RFC 3986 (URI), RFC 4648 (Base64), and the YAML 1.2 specification. However, DevToolNest operates independently and is not formally affiliated with or endorsed by the IETF, W3C, or any specific software runtime.

9. Service Availability & Edge Delivery

DevToolNest is deployed globally across distributed Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) and edge nodes to ensure sub-millisecond page delivery and maximum uptime. While we maintain a high standard of availability, we do not warrant that access will be 100% uninterrupted. DevToolNest reserves the right to deploy updates, enhance parsing algorithms, or introduce new developer tools at any time without mandatory prior notification.

10. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the complete and exclusive understanding between you and DevToolNest concerning the use of our client-side software utilities.
